Profil

Camping Rio Verde and the country house are located near Gubbio in the Monte Cucco Nature Park, in a valley through which the Chiascio River flows. The altitude is only 500 metres but surrounded by mountains. Due to the dense … tree cover, which characterises this area, the climate is pleasantly cool even in the summer evenings. The pitches are numbered but there are no boundaries to avoid the feeling of car parks typically found in cities. For those who prefer an alternative accommodation to camping, we have 14 bungalows equipped with insulated roofs, which keeps the interior cool even at the highest temperatures. Each bungalow is equipped with a kitchen and all kitchen utensils, veranda and shower. It is the ideal place for those who want to relax in nature and breathe pure air, for those who want to relax or practice sports in the rural tranquillity. In the small restaurant next to the swimming pool we offer you local specialities, which are organic, mainly from our own cultivation. We are happy to serve you a wine from our shop to accompany your meal. From lasagna to fettuccine with truffles as well as fine grilled meats and desserts. The pool is open from 10.00 to 19.00. For your safety, a lifeguard is present at all times. Size of the pool: 22 x 12 metres, from 90 to 240 cm deep. The water is checked every 2 days. La Fornace" organic farm covers 50 hectares and has been in the family since the second half of the eighteenth century. All products are organic and include cereals, hay for the animals, vegetables, fruits (apples, strawberries, berries, walnuts and hazelnuts). Animal husbandry: horses, laying hens, rabbits, geese, ducks and not forgetting man's dearest friends the bees which produce delicious honey, propolis and wax. The Petting Zoo offers many research labs and experiments: learning to study bees and their products, learning to grow a garden and the different growing seasons of plants, how compost is made and the other uses of organic waste.
